Youth continue their spiritual journey through Bible studies, discussions, games, challenges, meals and community service, but most of all they meet community, live community and experience community as God designs us and intends for us.
Some opportunities to connect are:
Junior Youth – Grades 6, 7 & 8
Looking for some great memories – then check out Jr Youth! We meet during worship each Sunday from 10:15-11:15am (same time as the Lighthouse) and then monthly “get togethers” (usually the last Sunday afternoon of each month) for additional memory makers! Early fall and summer weekend adventures help to bookend our other gatherings (swimming, games night, meal making, snow escapades, bowling…). We have a crew of five dedicated leaders who regularly spend time with these youth to dig into the bible, share experiences and press in to what God has done. We are excited about what God continues to do in our lives and in the world we live.
Senior Youth – High School
Senior Youth Group is for people who are attending high school who are longing to develop their relationship with God further.
We have found that this group has been a welcome place for many to come, be silly and make friendships. It is group that encourages relationship with each other and allows us to let off steam from our week through laughter and joy. As we play together we grow together. We see that many find this group to be a breath of fresh air into their relationship with God. Our group spends time in the bible and prayer which develops freedom into our lives. As we draw closer to God – He draws closer to us. Getting to know Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit is amazing and our youth keep coming back for more revelation of Him in their day to day lives.
We are not a huge group where you won’t be seen but we are a group that values having others join us to grow together.
FRIDAY NIGHTS Every week – 7pm-10pm at Calvary.
We have ‘offline’ adventures where we are out in the community both near and far where we explore life together.
Overnight camping, heading to a cottage, or even sleepover adventures at Calvary have also served to bring us together as the more we eat and share time together the more we get to know each other.
