Luke 1:34-38
Has God ever asked you to do something that is seemingly impossible? Has He ever asked you to believe something that is, in our earthly understanding, farfetched?
Consider His request to Mary in Luke: You, a teenager, a virgin, will become pregnant with the Hope of the World. And your cousin Elizabeth, who is old as dirt and told she will never conceive, is pregnant as well. This is paraphrased of course. If you were either of these women would you believe what the angel had said? I’m not sure I would.
But look at the response. Both of these women said Yes! They trusted that what God said would be so. In this season, in this year, we all need Hope. We need to believe that what God has said was, is, and will be so.
